Description
Geork, also known as Georg or George, is a minor antagonist in the anime and manga series Black Clover. His name is originally spelled as Geork in Japanese. He is a rogue mage and a member of the terrorist organization known as the Eye of the Midnight Sun. In terms of appearance, Geork has blond hair styled in an asymmetrical cut and bears a distinct scar on the left side of his face. He wears the standard white hooded robe of his organization, which features a unique black pattern and an eye motif on the chest.
Geork possesses a calm and composed personality, typically maintaining his composure even when facing dire circumstances. His most defining trait is his deep-seated loyalty to his master, the leader of the Eye of the Midnight Sun, Licht. This loyalty is unwavering; even after being captured by the Magic Knights and subjected to interrogation, Geork declares that while others may have abandoned them, his master did not, and therefore he would never commit an act of betrayal.
As a member of the Eye of the Midnight Sun, Geork participates in the organization's activities and is present at their hidden base. He is among the members who confront the Magic Knights when his allies, Valtos and Rades Spirito, are in trouble. However, when the Magic Emperor Julius Novachrono infiltrates the hideout, he swiftly defeats several members. While Licht manages to rescue most of his followers, he is forced to retreat, leaving Geork and another mage named Catherine behind. Captured by Julius, Geork is brought back to the capital for interrogation. Attempts by Marx Francois, the Magic Emperor's aide, to forcibly extract information from his mind fail because the prisoners have a protective spell cast on them.
Geork's role in the story becomes pivotal during this interrogation. He and Catherine remain imprisoned until Asta is brought to them. Using his Anti-Magic swords, Asta is able to nullify the protective spell on Geork's mind. Once the spell is broken, Marx places Geork under a magic spell that compels him to answer questions truthfully. When the captains of the Magic Knights are assembled, Geork and Catherine are forced to reveal that the traitor within their ranks is Gueldre Poizot, the captain of the Purple Orcas. Following this revelation, Geork presumably remains in captivity. His ultimate fate is shared with the rest of the Eye of the Midnight Sun members, who are later sacrificed by Patolli as part of a ritual to place the final magic stone in the sephirot, resulting in their bodies burning as their mana and souls were extracted.
In terms of combat prowess, Geork utilizes Wind Magic, a form of attribute magic that allows him to generate and manipulate wind. He is also capable of Creation Magic, which he uses to shape the wind into physical objects. These spells are contained within his grimoire. Furthermore, Geork demonstrates the ability to use Magic Shot, a technique where he manifests and concentrates his mana in his hands to launch a projectile at his opponents.
