Description
Abe no Sousei is the stoic and resolute captain of the Yamainu, an elite government squad tasked with capturing and destroying the vessel of the legendary serpent Orochi. Born into a family of master exorcists, he was separated from his parents at birth and raised in complete isolation, without toys or companionship, which shaped his gloomy disposition and lack of social graces. As a candidate to become the Orochi’s vessel himself, he joined the Yamainu and trained under the squad’s leader, Taiko, wielding the treasured ancestral sword of the Abe family. Initially, Sousei saw himself and his comrades as mere pawns raised to die, but his friendship with Tenka Kumo inspired him to embrace the goal of becoming a national hero, giving him a new sense of purpose. However, after Taiko was killed and Tenka lost his parents in the same incident, Tenka resigned from the Yamainu, an act Sousei perceived as betrayal, creating a deep and lasting rift between the childhood friends. Through his role as a harsh but fair swordmaster to Soramaru Kumo, Sousei eventually comes to understand Tenka’s perspective, leading to reconciliation. He believes that crying is not a sign of weakness but a necessary release, and he offers compassion to those who earn his respect. A highly skilled swordsman, Sousei is a formidable opponent. He stands 174 centimeters tall, weighs 59 kilograms, has blood type A, and was born on October 25. His hobby is collecting stamps, and his food preferences include karashi renkon, while he dislikes wasabi and pointless things.
