Description
Phoenixmon is the Mega level, or final evolution form, of Biyomon, the partner Digimon of Sora Takenouchi, and it is one of the ultimate forms achieved by the original partner Digimon during the events of Digimon Adventure tri.: Coexistence. In the original Japanese release it is called Hououmon, a name taken from the fenghuang, a mythical bird associated with virtue and high grace, while the English release uses the name Phoenixmon. Its appearance is that of a large holy bird with four wings that shine gold, blue eyes, and two Holy Rings worn around its ankles.
Phoenixmon is described as a holy Digimon and the head of all bird Digimon, said to preside over holy-species Digimon. It is regarded as the ultimate form of bird Digimon, in the same way that Holydramon is the ultimate form of beast Digimon. The two Holy Rings it carries serve as marks of a holy-species Digimon and draw out sacred power, and the power it possesses is described as immeasurable. In Coexistence, the partner Digimon fight beside the Chosen Children as the Digital World becomes unstable and hostile, and they push through to their Mega forms during the resulting battles.
