Description
Hazuki Kagimura is the central character and protagonist of her story. She is a fifteen-year-old high school student who stands 154 centimeters tall, with green eyes and blue hair that falls to her shoulders. Her birthday is on August 30th. She comes from a difficult family background, having lost her mother at a very young age and being raised by a stepmother, which has left her feeling like an unfortunate and lonely girl. Due to her challenging relationship with her new family, she often retreats from the real world.

As a result of this isolation, Hazuki is painfully shy and socially inept, having no friends or love interest at the start of her journey. Her primary escape is her own imagination and a deep, dedicated love for fantasy and science fiction stories, a passion she inherited from her late mother. Whenever she feels upset or distressed, she has a habit of immediately immersing herself in a storybook, a condition she herself refers to as "Story Syndrome". Her hobbies include reading and daydreaming, though she is also surprisingly skilled at household chores. Her favorite food is rice. Despite her timidity, she possesses a resilient and hardworking nature, always striving to do her best and remain positive in the face of her circumstances.

Hazuki's role in the story begins when she follows a mysterious cloaked figure to an old library, which transports her to another world. There, she discovers she is a Mage, known as a Mädchen, someone chosen by an original fairy tale to wield its magic. She is specifically selected by the original story of Cinderella and subsequently transfers to the Kuzunoha Girl's Magic Academy to train as a proper mage. Her primary initial motivation is simply to become a heroine, believing that by doing so, she can secure a happy ending for herself. However, her deeper, more powerful drive becomes her connection to another student, Shizuka Tsuchimikado. Meeting Shizuka, who is the cloaked figure she followed, fundamentally changes her. Her wish is no longer about a grand prize but rather about becoming closer to Shizuka. She is so determined to not be separated from Shizuka that she refuses to drink a potion that would make her forget the magical world, desperate to see her again.

The relationship with Shizuka Tsuchimikado is the most crucial in Hazuki's life and development. Shizuka has a profoundly soothing effect on her, so much so that when she is with Shizuka, she no longer feels the need to retreat into books to calm her nerves. Hazuki grows deeply attached to her, admiring her kind and polite nature and thinking about her constantly. As the story progresses, Hazuki slowly becomes a more confident person thanks to Shizuka's influence, going from a girl with no friends to one who forms a powerful bond. Another significant relationship is with her classmate Yumilia Qazan; their interactions are often more playful, with Hazuki shyly running away from Yumilia when chased through the academy hallways.

In terms of abilities, as a Mädchen contracted to the original tale of Cinderella, Hazuki possesses a unique magic known as Glass Heart. This power allows her to make wishes, effectively granting her the ability to create or destroy things according to her desires. The power is described as the "ultimate miracle" that can overcome any hopeless situation. She can perform creation magic, such as summoning a castle from the Cinderella story for defense, or creating servants like pumpkin-themed soldiers. She can also use story manipulation to change the feelings of a specific person within a certain area. A fundamental technique she learns is the Buchulle (or Bouf Hyure), a basic spell that unites her body with her Original story to make her magic more efficient. However, this power comes with a risk; if she makes a wish that falls outside the bounds of her magic, she must pay a price by beginning to turn into glass.
