Description
Fracture is a Decepticon bounty hunter who appears in the 2015 animated series Transformers: Robots in Disguise. He is a career criminal motivated purely by monetary gain, taking on jobs to capture targets for a price and showing no loyalty to any cause beyond his own profit. His primary objective upon arriving on Earth is to collect a bounty on the Autobot leader Bumblebee, a mission that drives much of his early conflict in the series.

In terms of personality, Fracture is smug, self-assured, and completely without scruples. He will employ any tactic, no matter how underhanded or dirty, to bring in his quarry and has no reservations about violently eliminating anyone who gets in his way or competes for the same prize. He is a pragmatist who values results over honor, which puts him in direct opposition to his primary rival, the Autobot samurai Drift. While Drift adheres to a personal code of honorable conduct in his work as a bounty hunter, Fracture views such principles as a nuisance and eagerly awaits the day he can finally defeat his rival permanently. Despite his cunning and tactical mind, Fracture possesses a notable flaw in his overconfidence, which sometimes leads to his defeat in battle.

Fracture serves as both an independent antagonist and later as a member of Steeljaw's Pack, a crew of Decepticon criminals led by the cunning Steeljaw. After his initial plans are foiled and his personal spacecraft is captured by the Autobots, Fracture becomes stranded on Earth and is forced to adopt an Earth-based alternate mode, which is a motorcycle. He then aligns himself with Steeljaw's gang, participating in their schemes to take over the Autobots' scrapyard base and free other imprisoned Decepticons.

Key relationships define Fracture's role in the story. His intense rivalry with Drift is central to his character, as the two duel multiple times, with Fracture often getting the upper hand in one-on-one combat. He is almost never seen without his two loyal Mini-Con partners, Airazor and Divebomb, who ride on his shoulders and can be launched like missiles to attack enemies or create distractions. Within Steeljaw's Pack, Fracture serves as a capable enforcer, though he is not above expressing doubts about the trustworthiness of some of his fellow criminals, such as the crab-like Decepticon Clampdown.

Throughout his appearance in the series, Fracture demonstrates a notable lack of significant development or change. He is consistently portrayed as a static character whose motivations never shift beyond self-interest and the pursuit of his bounties. His story arc concludes when he is finally defeated and placed in a stasis pod, which is later transported back to the Decepticon homeworld of Cybertron.

Fracture possesses several notable abilities that make him a formidable opponent. As a bounty hunter, he is a skilled combatant capable of defeating Drift in direct confrontation. He is also a clever strategist who employs a variety of dirty tricks, such as using micro-drones for surveillance and setting elaborate traps to capture his targets one by one. His two Mini-Cons are his primary weapons, but he also demonstrates proficiency with a knife in close-quarters combat.
