TV-Series
Description
Glenys, whose full name is Glenys Alna Lalatoya, is a recurring character in the series. She is a dark elf, distinguished by her amethyst-colored skin and white hair, which she typically wears tied back in braids. Her attire is simple, often a commoner's dress, and she maintains a youthful appearance that belies her true age. She is the mother of the main heroine, Ariane, and the wife of Dillan Tahg Lalatoya.

On the surface, Glenys presents herself as a carefree, kind, and loving housewife, speaking in a laidback and gentle manner. However, this initial impression masks the heart of a fierce and highly skilled warrior. She is the mentor who taught her daughter, Ariane, how to use a sword and also trained her elder daughter, Eevin, who became a top fighter in their community. Glenys is deeply compassionate and holds a rare perspective among her people, as she does not discriminate against humans. She is also playful and can be subtly manipulative in a teasing way, such as when she playfully provokes her daughter about her relationship with Arc.

Prior to settling into her married life, Glenys was an accomplished swordswoman, and her past as a warrior is a core part of her identity. In the story, she becomes a crucial ally and mentor to the protagonist, Arc. Upon meeting him, she quickly becomes privy to his secret skeletal condition and welcomes him into her home in the village of Lalatoya without prejudice. Glenys offers to spar with Arc, during which she easily bests him through her superior technique. Recognizing his lack of skill despite his power, she takes it upon herself to teach him proper swordsmanship, later training Arc, Chiyome, and Ariane together. During a critical battle to rescue the village of Doran, Glenys single-handedly holds an entire flank of the battlefield, crushing countless monsters and proving her status as one of the most powerful warriors in the setting.

Her relationships are central to her character. She shares a happy and long-lasting marriage with her husband Dillan. With her daughter Ariane, Glenys is a source of both nurturing care and terrifying training, taking great pride in cooking for her family while also being a harsh instructor. She forms a strong bond with Arc, taking a great interest in him not only as a fighter but also for his ability to tame a spirit animal and his unique cooking skills. Her relationship with Arc progresses to the point where she offers him a permanent place in her family and invites him to bear the Lalatoya name. She also develops a deep bond with Chiyome, treating her as a permanent guest and close friend of the family.

Glenys's notable abilities are vast; she is considered the best warrior seen up to that point, combining speed, strength, and tactics in a balanced way. She is agile enough to slip behind Arc and knock him down with ease, and her skill is so great that she can defeat Arc, Chiyome, and Ariane simultaneously in a sparring match. Beyond her combat prowess, she is also an excellent cook, and she uses her talents to care for her family and guests.
