Description
In the anime "Seven Mortal Sins," Beelzebub is one of the seven great Demon Lords who rule over the underworld, bearing the title of the "Gluttony Queen." Unlike the traditional, fearsome depictions of the demon Beelzebub, this version is portrayed as a small, child-like figure with a notably reclusive disposition. Her physical appearance is characterized by deep blue hair styled into long twin-tails and a single horn protruding from her head, which reflects her role as a being of demonic power.

Beelzebub’s personality stands in stark contrast to the other, more overtly ambitious Demon Lords. She is described as being extremely quiet, shy, and timid around strangers, to the point of being almost entirely non-verbal. Among the ranks of the seven deadly sins, she is often treated less like a formidable ruler and more like a harmless pet or a mascot by her peers due to her passive nature. This reserved behavior, however, vanishes completely when it comes to food. Beelzebub typically only speaks when she is eating, and her primary focus in any situation is the consumption of meals, making her obsession with food the core expression of her sin of gluttony.

Her motivations are simple and directly tied to her role as the embodiment of gluttony. She is driven primarily by the desire to eat and to share the joy of food with others. In one notable instance, she hosts a food festival in the human world, using the event to gather followers who are fascinated by her voracious appetite and to spread a sense of communal happiness centered around eating. Despite her sin, she is not depicted as malicious or harmful. Her actions are usually harmless, leading to her gluttony being characterized in one narrative as "innocent" because her overindulgence primarily affects herself rather than corrupting others.

In the story, Beelzebub often serves as a supporting figure to the main protagonist, Lucifer. She shares a unique bond with Lucifer, being one of the few beings she considers a friend. Their relationship is highlighted by a shared experience of developing stomach扩张 (dilation) after eating an excessive mountain of ribs, an event that lands them both in the hospital and cements their peculiar friendship. She is also shown to be fiercely loyal and protective of her allies on rare occasions. For instance, she once saved the Demon Lord Leviathan from drowning during a fight with Satan by using a magical chant and a kiss on the forehead to unlock Leviathan’s hidden potential.

Despite her timid exterior, Beelzebub possesses notable abilities befitting a Demon Lord. Her most famous technique is a physical strike using the horn on her head, specifically aimed at those who waste food. This attack is known as the "Beelzebub-chan Strike". Furthermore, while she rarely demonstrates the full extent of her power in the series, her authority over gluttony implies a potential for immense, untapped strength, with hints that her limitless appetite could theoretically translate into limitless magical energy.
