His personality contrasts with typical elven prejudice against humans, demonstrating pragmatism and opposing unnecessary violence. He prioritizes freeing enslaved elves while minimizing bloodshed. Dillan serves as a diplomatic ambassador representing elven interests in human kingdoms and mediating between elven villages.

He is married to Glenys Alna Lalatoya, sharing a long-standing union resulting in two adult daughters. Ariane Glenys Lalatoya is his younger daughter, whom he loves but views as impulsive and short-tempered, often reminding her to maintain composure. Eevin Glenys Maple is his elder daughter; he informs Ariane about Eevin's impending wedding.

Dillan permits Arc entry into Lalatoya based on Ariane's endorsement of Arc's character and his role in liberating elves from Diento. He and Glenys host Arc in their home, discussing the Diento incident and the urgent need to locate seven missing elves.
