Description
Natsuo Shiba is a supporting character in the anime Super Lovers 2, originally introduced in the manga by Miyuki Abe. He is an adult male with short brown hair and brown eyes, often seen in a suit or dress shirt, and works as a host at a club, a profession he shares with Kaidou Haru, whom he admires. Because Haru uses the stage name Natsu, Natsuo is frequently mistaken for him, and their facial features are notably similar. Natsuo was separated from the Kaidou family at a young age when his father borrowed money from them and fled to avoid repayment, a background that shapes his connections later in the story.
In terms of personality, Natsuo is suave and outgoing, with a friendly and lively demeanor that makes him easy to approach. However, he can also be assertive to the point of recklessness, and he sometimes displays a lazy or obnoxious side. His good-natured and kind tendencies are often overshadowed by this more impulsive behavior, as seen at a birthday party for Kaidou Aki and Kaidou Shima, where he forcibly kisses Haru in front of Ren. Despite these flaws, he is deeply loyal to those he cares about, particularly the Kaidou family.
Natsuo’s primary motivation appears to be a desire for connection and belonging, possibly stemming from his fractured childhood. He admires Haru and follows him in his work, eventually helping with food at the cafe White Fang through his family’s country connections. He also endearingly refers to Ren as Ren Ren, showing an affectionate side. While he does not have any supernatural or combat abilities, his skill as a host and his charm allow him to navigate social situations with ease, though his impulsiveness often creates tension.
Throughout the series, Natsuo remains a recurring figure whose interactions highlight the complexities of the main characters’ relationships. His development is subtle, but his growing attachment to the Kaidou family and his efforts to form genuine bonds reflect a gradual softening of his rougher edges.
