Description
Haru Yayoi is the male representative for the month of March within the Tsukiuta franchise. His name itself carries strong seasonal symbolism, as Yayoi is an archaic term for March and Haru directly translates to spring. He is a member of the idol unit Six Gravity under Tsukino Talent Production and is currently a university student while working as an idol.

Physically, Haru stands at 186 cm tall and has collar-length, light sandy green hair with slightly parted bangs and a natural ahoge, or cowlick. His eyes are a distinctive lime green, and he has a small mole beneath his left eye. He is notably the only character in the series who wears glasses, though his vision is 0.7 in both eyes, allowing him to function without them when necessary.

Haru is known for his calm, gentle, and deeply nurturing personality, which has earned him the affectionate reputation of being a mother-type figure or even a holy mother among fans and other characters. He possesses a big heart and is the sort of person who finds it difficult to be disliked. He actively avoids arguing and conflict, preferring to maintain harmony. This compassionate nature makes him someone that both younger and older peers rely on for support and guidance. He is also extremely intelligent and academically gifted, holding the nicknames trivia king and Harupedia, although he has only ever outperformed his close friend Mutsuki Hajime in academics twice.

Haru's journey into the entertainment industry began when he was in his second year of middle school. While searching for a veterinary clinic for an injured bird that Hajime had found, the two were scouted together by Tsukino Talent Production. He eventually made his debut as an idol during his third year of high school. His role in the story often involves acting as a pillar of support for his unit, and his producer spirit was highlighted when he conceptualized a fairy tale-themed outfit collection for Six Gravity.

The most significant relationship in Haru's life is with his unit partner, Mutsuki Hajime. Their friendship began in middle school and is defined by mutual comfort and trust. He also shares a supportive dynamic with Fuduki Kai of the sister unit Procellarum, as both act as stabilizing pillars for their respective group leaders. Within the unit, he is considered an older brother figure, often taking care of the younger members. His juniors and formal acquaintances typically address him as Haru-san, while close friends like Minaduki Rui and Shimotsuki Shun call him simply Haru.

Haru has a strong work ethic and takes his responsibilities seriously. He has been seen managing major projects, such as planning a day where the group worked as store clerks, demonstrating his capabilities as a behind-the-scenes organizer. He is ambidextrous and owns several spare pairs of glasses, which feature lenses with sun protection. His pet is a Japanese bush warbler named Hokekyo-kun, a bird considered a harbinger of spring. He has a well-known fear of heights and also cannot tolerate narrow or unstable spaces, noisy and bustling environments, or overly spicy foods like wasabi. After a duet song with Hajime ranked third in a magazine poll for heartbreak songs, he gained the nickname Heartbreak Green, leading to a recurring joke about forming a fictitious Heartbreak Trio with other idols who placed highly on the same list.
