Description
Orga Itsuka is a central character from the anime Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans. He grows up on Mars under harsh circumstances, eventually becoming the leader of a group of boy conscripts working for the private security company Chryse Guard Security (CGS). As the head of CGS's Third Army Division, which is treated as expendable, Orga endures the abuse of the adult leadership. Fed up with this mistreatment, he seizes an opportunity during an attack by the military organization Gjallarhorn to stage a coup. He rebrands the surviving child soldiers as a new, independent group named Tekkadan and becomes its founding团长 (leader), guiding them on a mission to escort the Martian independence activist Kudelia Aina Bernstein to Earth.

Orga is defined by his exceptional sense of responsibility and charisma, which earn him the deep trust and loyalty of his comrades, whom he views not as mercenaries but as a surrogate family. He is fiercely protective of this family and is driven by a romantic and idealistic desire to find a place in the world where they can truly belong and no longer be persecuted. This motivation pushes him to constantly seek advancement and new opportunities for Tekkadan, believing that as long as they keep moving forward, their path will continue to extend. However, this forward momentum can also manifest as recklessness. After suffering the loss of his close advisor Biscuit Griffon, Orga becomes more aggressive and willing to take dangerous gambles to achieve his goals, often putting the burden of these risks on his comrades, particularly his childhood friend Mikazuki Augus.

Orga's most significant relationship is with Mikazuki Augus, a bond of absolute trust and mutual dependence that dates back to their childhood. They underwent the dangerous Alaya-Vijnana system surgery together without anesthesia. Orga provides direction and a dream, while Mikazuki serves as the unwavering enforcer, willing to sacrifice his own body to follow any order Orga gives. Orga also relies heavily on the prudent counsel of Biscuit Griffon, whose death is a turning point that hardens Orga's resolve. He forms a brotherly bond through a ceremonial sake cup exchange with Naze Turbine, a leader within the Jupiter-based economic bloc Teiwaz, from whom he learns about the responsibilities of family leadership. Merribit Stapleton, a Teiwaz accountant assigned to oversee Tekkadan, frequently clashes with Orga over his tactics but also offers him mature advice and emotional support.

Throughout the story, Orga evolves from an improvisational leader of a small band of escapees to the head of a growing and powerful organization. The success of the Earth mission allows him to expand Tekkadan, and he takes on unfamiliar administrative and political duties, symbolized by his change into a maroon suit in the second season. He makes the significant decision to ban new members from receiving the Alaya-Vijnana implant, hoping to spare others from the physical toll it takes. Despite his growth as an organizer, he struggles under the weight of his responsibilities and his own ambition, leading Tekkadan into an alliance with the charismatic but dangerous McGillis Fareed, a move that alienates them from their Teiwaz allies and sets them on a collision course with Gjallarhorn. In the series' final act, Orga is assassinated by hitmen sent by a political enemy. He dies while protecting a younger member of Tekkadan, Ride Mass, famously stating that their destination was never important as long as they did not stop moving forward.

Orga possesses notable abilities as a commander, distinguished by his quick thinking, charisma, and ability to inspire his followers. Despite never attending school, he is literate in two languages. He has also undergone the Alaya-Vijnana surgery, which allows for a direct neural interface with mobile suits, making him a capable pilot in theory. However, he rarely fights on the front lines, preferring to command from a mobile worker or the bridge. His true strength lies in his leadership and strategic acumen, which allows him to navigate complex and life-threatening situations for the survival of his group.
