Description
Koyori Akutagawa is one of the lead protagonists in Hand Shakers and forms one-half of the partnership known as Team Gear alongside Tazuna Takatsuki. She is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Akutagawa and the younger twin sister of Mayumi Akutagawa, who operates under the codename Sprocket Gear. Before the events of the story, Koyori was placed in a deep, artificial sleep in order to preserve her limited life force, remaining in a coma-like state at a university research facility.
Physically, Koyori is a teenage girl with shoulder-length white hair and blue eyes, and her features carry a delicate, almost fragile quality. Initially she is entirely expressionless, does not speak, and shows little outward reaction to the world around her.
