Description
Kodama Awaza is a supporting character in the anime Hand Shakers. She is an eighteen-year-old aspiring idol and musician who, together with her partner Hibiki Moriyama, participates in the battles of the Hand Shakers as the pair known as Team Sword or Sing Sword. Hibiki was a businessman before leaving his job to manage her idol career, serving as her devoted manager and partner.

Kodama has a cheerful and highly confident personality. She often boasts about her experience as a fighter, claiming to have defeated seven other pairs of Hand Shakers. A distinctive aspect of her character is her habit of reciting proverbs from memory, which she tends to interject during conversations and combat, a trait associated with her public persona as an idol.

In the story, she initially acts as a rival to the main protagonists before becoming an ally. Her bond with Hibiki is incredibly strong; he is deeply supportive of her and is always moved by her words and actions. This enthusiasm for her work stems from his support during her earlier days of relative obscurity as a performer.

Within the narrative, she is a significant figure in the original series. Her development is primarily highlighted through her confident performance in battles and her dynamic with her manager. She notably does not make a physical appearance in the direct sequel to the series, where she is instead mentioned only in dialogue, which distinguishes her from the other major supporting characters. Her abilities as a Hand Shaker manifest through her Nimrod, and her fighting style reflects her confident nature and experience in battle.
