Kotora is a tiger-striped Nyanbo and the youngest member of the central group. She is the little sister of Tora, who serves as the group's leader. Naturally cheerful and playful, she tends to lift the spirits of those around her and can often be found playing with another Nyanbo. As a child, she occasionally shows a more vulnerable side, such as when she asks Tora where their parents are, and when she becomes upset and runs away after being scolded for losing her teddy bear during a game with Mike. Though she is not as single-mindedly focused on the UFO repair mission as her brother, she still makes sincere efforts to help locate the scattered pieces, and when Tora loses motivation she takes the initiative to invite the rival Mecha Nyanbo to help him. Kotora is also curious about human customs and eagerly participates when the Nyanbo decide to pretend to hold a school class. Like all Nyanbo she has a square body with cat-like ears and a tail and can move through the human world without being noticed. Her most important relationships are with her older brother Tora, the quiet and dependable Kuro who is frequently seen playing with her, the mischievous Mike, and Shiro, who is openly affectionate toward Tora. Over the course of the series Kotora’s experiences with sadness, reconciliation, and shared adventures quietly deepen her sense of belonging among her companions, and she remains a constant source of warmth and sincerity.
