Description
Bluesy Fruesy, known almost exclusively by her nickname Izzy, is a central figure in the narrative. She is a young woman who serves as a lieutenant in the United States Army, assigned to a special unit called Blue Moon with the mission of recovering powerful and dangerous supernatural artifacts known as Spell Crests or Tattoos.

Izzy has a youthful appearance, with silver hair and a short stature that makes her look like she is the same age as a middle school or high school student. However, this appearance is deceiving, as she is significantly older than she looks. The physical stunting of her growth is a direct side effect or price of possessing her Spell Crest, which has halted her aging process entirely. Despite her small frame, she possesses immense physical prowess and can easily overpower opponents even without activating her tattoo's abilities.

In terms of personality, Izzy is confident, playful, and often mischievous. She enjoys unsettling the status quo for her own amusement, as demonstrated when she spontaneously transfers into the protagonist Seigi's class and falsely implies they are in a romantic relationship, much to his dismay. She can also be blunt and socially forward, such as when she openly comments on the physical attributes of other female characters, though she is capable of self-reflection and recognizing when she has crossed a line. Underneath this playful exterior, she is a dedicated soldier who takes her mission seriously. She possesses a sentimental side as well, shown when she looks fondly at a locket containing a picture of a girl who may be her sister.

Izzy's primary role in the story is that of an ally and mentor to the protagonist, Seigi. After discovering his uncontrollable and extremely dangerous Tattoo, she and her partner Tom take him under their wing. She is tasked with teaching him how to control his powers and integrate him into their operations against rival factions. Her motivations are rooted in her duty as a soldier to recover the Tattoos for the US Army, but as the story progresses, she develops a personal stake in protecting Seigi and her team.

Her key relationships include her professional partnership with her teammate Tom Shredfield, with whom she works closely in the field. She also forms a significant bond with Seigi, acting as a combat instructor and protector despite his initial lack of skill. She refers to him and Tom as friends, even describing them as "pals to play video games with". She becomes an adversary of Princess Aryabhata of the Kingdom of Selinistan and her elite warriors, the Brahmans, who seek to steal the Tattoos for their own ambitions of world domination.

Throughout the narrative, Izzy experiences considerable development and faces traumatic events. The ongoing conflict takes a heavy toll on her, leading her to cross a Despair Event Horizon after a series of devastating losses, including the loss of her own left arm.

Izzy's notable abilities are derived from her unique Spell Crest. Unlike Seigi, whose power requires no external catalyst, Izzy requires a specific trigger to activate her powers: a piece of chalk. By crushing the chalk, she gains the ability to manipulate air. This allows her to compress air into high-pressure bombs for offensive attacks and create cushions of compressed air around her body to absorb shocks and defend herself. Her combat style and nickname reflect this power, as she is known as the "Melancholy Rabbit".
