Description
Nino Arisugawa is the main protagonist of the anime Anonymous Noise, known in the band Inohari by the alias Alice. She is a first-year high school student who has loved singing since early childhood and possesses an extremely resonant and powerful voice. As a child, she lived next door to Momo Sakaki, her first love, and they often sang together. When Momo moved away suddenly, the parting was deeply painful for her. Shortly afterward, she met Kanade Yuzuriha, whom she called Yuzu, a boy who composed music. Both boys made separate promises that if they ever became separated, her singing voice would serve as the beacon to reunite them. Ever since, Nino has been singing by the ocean, often wearing a mask, in the hope that her voice will reach them.
Nino is portrayed as a genuinely good and caring person, but she is also highly passionate about music to the point of appearing inattentive or zoned out in everyday conversations, frequently changing the subject. Her primary motivation is to fulfill the childhood promise and reconnect with Momo and Yuzu, using her voice and singing as a means of expression and connection. Throughout the story, she becomes the vocalist for the band Inohari, where her emotional singing captivates audiences and becomes central to the plot.
Her key relationships are the complicated love triangle with Momo, who initially avoids her, and Yuzu, who has harbored feelings for her since childhood. Her development involves learning to channel her intense emotions into her music, struggling with her own identity, and gradually moving beyond simply being a means to reunite others—finding her own voice and purpose. Her notable ability is her uniquely beautiful and emotionally charged singing voice, which can move people deeply and is considered her defining trait. Her personality is often described as emotionally sensitive, creative, and fiercely devoted to her craft.
