TV-Series
Description
Ariane Glenys Maple, later Ariane Glenys Lalatoya, is a Dark Elf hailing from the elven nation of Maple. She possesses golden eyes, light purple skin with an amethyst hue, and waist-length snow-white hair typically secured in a ponytail. Her appearance distinctly reflects her Dark Elf heritage, featuring elongated pointed ears slightly shorter than other elves. She maintains a fit, notably curved physique and is often seen wearing maroon corset-style leather armor, a matching skirt, stockings, and a dark cloak. Her equipment includes a silver sword, later supplemented by the Sword of the Lion King gifted by Arc and a custom sword forged from dragon lord scales and decayed wood from the tree king, imbued with significant magical properties.

Her personality centers on an unwavering dedication to liberating enslaved elves, fueled by hatred stemming from humans violating treaties. This mission drives her, though she later acknowledges exceptions after encountering allies like Arc. Ariane exhibits a serious demeanor but is prone to impulsiveness, often rushing into danger without planning, endangering herself and others. She displays fierce loyalty to friends and reacts strongly to insults directed at them. While generally composed, she shows possessiveness and jealousy, particularly regarding Arc's interactions with other women. She also struggles with alcohol tolerance, becoming easily intoxicated.

Ariane comes from a prestigious family: her father, Dylan, is an elder of the Lalatoya elf clan, and her mother, Glenys, is a renowned Dark Elf swordsman. Her sister, Eevin, ranks among Maple's strongest soldiers, contributing to Ariane's pride as a Maple soldier.

Her chronology begins with ambushing slavers from Diento territory who captured elven children. When humans used the children as shields, Arc intervened, leading Ariane to trust him despite initial suspicions. She hired him to aid in rescuing elves sold across the Rhoden Kingdom. They infiltrated Diento's slave warehouses, discovering some facilities already raided, and freed numerous elves via Arc's teleportation magic. During this mission, Ariane located and executed Marquis Tryton for using elves as sex slaves.

After Arc revealed his skeletal form, Ariane and the freed elves were not alarmed by his curse, perceiving his benevolent nature. She escorted him to her village, introducing him to her parents and elders, hoping they could break his curse. Her actions in Diento were later excused by the elders. She accepted a formal mission from her father to locate and rescue enslaved elves, with Arc pledging assistance. Their subsequent travels included detours, such as collecting Haunted Wolf tails for her sister's wedding veil.

Ariane's abilities encompass mastery of swordsmanship and proficiency in fire, earth, and wind Spirit Magic. Her spells include earth-based techniques like "Become Engulfed by the Earth" to trap targets. She employs tactical combat skills, often coordinating with allies like Chiyome against powerful enemies.

Her relationship with Arc evolves from initial distrust to deep camaraderie. She acts as his self-proclaimed "guardian," monitoring his actions due to his tendency to cause unintended chaos, and develops an ability to interpret his thoughts despite his helmet and skeletal appearance. Though often exasperated by his behavior, she remains protective, staying by his side during his comatose state after temporary curse removal. Romantic undertones are implied through her jealousy and possessiveness. With Chiyome, she shares mutual respect and camaraderie, bonding over their dedication and Chiyome's "adorable" ears and tail.
