Description
Elel is an angel originating from the Red World, Terra Rubiri Aurora. She is a consistently energetic and high-tension individual known for being extremely friendly and approachable, possessing a personality that allows her to become friends with just about anyone she meets. Her demeanor is straightforward and honest, as she has a tendency to speak her mind clearly and without pretense. Despite her cheerful nature, she is also sensitive, as she can be deeply affected by the emotional pain of being rejected by someone she considers a friend.
Her primary and most distinctive ability allows her to temporarily borrow or copy the special powers, known as Exceeds, of her allies. This power, however, has a critical condition: it only functions when a genuine mutual bond of friendship and trust exists between Elel and the person whose ability she wishes to use. If that emotional connection is severed or betrayed, she loses access to the copied ability, making her power intrinsically linked to the strength of her relationships.
In the story, Elel is part of the main group of girls assembled on Seiran Island to protect the balance of the five interconnected worlds. A significant part of her personal journey revolves around her relationship with Ramiel, another angel from the Red World and her upperclassman. When the group returns to the Red World on a mission, they discover Ramiel has been corrupted by a dark force. Unlike Elel, Ramiel has only one wing and struggles with deep-seated feelings of jealousy and inadequacy, believing that Elel, who can fly freely, looks down on her. In her corrupted state, Ramiel manipulates Elel, accusing her of lying about their friendship and isolating her by trapping Elel's other companions.
This confrontation becomes a major test for Elel. She is deeply hurt by Ramiel's words but ultimately seeks to understand the pain behind them rather than fight back. With emotional support from her teammate, Saya, who reassures her of their own friendship, Elel is able to reaffirm her belief in the bonds she shares with others. She then confronts Ramiel directly, and by using the power of her sincere and upfront friendship, she reaches Ramiel and frees her from the darkness. This event highlights her development from simply a friendly person to someone who can withstand a serious emotional trial to save a friend.
Beyond this central relationship, Elel is a supportive and active member of her team. She has been shown encouraging a panicking Saya and participating in group activities like preparing for a school festival. Her identity as an angel grants her the natural ability to fly with her own wings, a trait that is a source of pride for her and contributes to her lively and free-spirited nature.
