Minami Tani is the main protagonist of the series. She is a fifteen-year-old high school girl with pale skin, light-brown hair that reaches her shoulders and is tied into a short ponytail, light-brown eyes, and an average body type. She is an outgoing, cheerful, and hyperactive person who approaches life with a happy-go-lucky attitude. Her greatest passion is bread, and she is especially fond of egg sandwiches. This enthusiasm for baked goods drives her interactions with others and serves as the main motivation for her actions. On her first day of high school, she notices the bread keychains on Yuu Aizawa's bag and quickly befriends her, later also becoming close with Fuyumi Fukagawa and Noa Sakura. Throughout the story, Minami acts as the social catalyst who brings her classmates together by sharing her love for bread, whether by visiting Fuyumi's family bakery, trying new recipes, or embarking on bread-related adventures. She is shown to be somewhat airheaded and clumsy at times, but her sincerity and constant positivity make her easy to like. She develops a natural talent for baking despite being a beginner, often experimenting with ingredients and surprising her friends with her creations. While she does not undergo a major personality shift, her consistent warmth and dedication to making others happy through food define her role as the heart of the friend group.
