TV-Series
Description
Lovepon is a fifteen-year-old junior high school student and one of the thirty participants in the bus tour to Nanaki Village, also known as the Lost Village. She appears as a secondary antagonist within the group. Initially, little is known about her past, and she is careful to protect her identity like many other travelers seeking a fresh start. Her most noticeable trait is her frequent shouting of the word "execution" and her intense fixation on identifying and removing what she perceives as evil or wrongdoing among the group, often expressing a willingness to physically harm or torture those she deems guilty.
Lovepon's background is gradually revealed through flashbacks. She grew up in a harsh household where her mother was in an abusive relationship with a monk. The monk was often drunk and would beat both Lovepon and her mother. He also provided money in return for sexual services from her mother, which was used to pay off a debt left by Lovepon's father after he abandoned the family. As a result, Lovepon came to believe that the monk deserved to die for what he did to them, and her repeated cries for "execution" stem directly from this childhood trauma. Her desire for punishment and justice is a direct outlet for the anger and helplessness she experienced.
In the story, Lovepon initially appears as a volatile member of the group. She is quick to call for severe consequences when conflicts arise, such as when Jack attacks another participant with a hoe, she screams for his execution. She later tries to kill Mitsumune when he refuses to go along with her demand for execution. As tensions in the village increase, Lovepon allies herself with Mikage, Nyanta, and Jigoku, forming a faction that takes a harsh, interrogative approach toward others, particularly towards Mitsumune, whom they suspect of being involved in the strange events. Lovepon actively participates in capturing and preparing to torture him, stopped only by a diversion set by another character.
Her relationships are largely defined by her aggression and her alignment with the more authoritarian members of the group. She does not form close bonds with the more sympathetic characters; instead, she is feared and seen as a threat. Her development centers on the revelation of her traumatic past, which contextualizes her violent behavior, though she does not undergo a major transformation or redemption. The village's supernatural phenomenon manifests her fear as a giant beast representing the abusive monk, forcing her to confront her past.
Lovepon possesses no supernatural abilities. Her notable capabilities are her physical aggression and her willingness to use a weapon to harm others. She is not a leader but a zealous enforcer within her faction, driven by a distorted sense of justice shaped by her childhood suffering. Her role in the narrative is to illustrate how unresolved trauma can express itself as cruelty and to serve as an obstacle and source of conflict among the stranded travelers.
