Description
Luluco is a thirteen-year-old middle school student who lives with her father, Keiji, in Ogikubo, a frontier space colonization zone in the Solar System where humans and aliens coexist. Her strongest desire is to lead a perfectly normal life, but that aspiration is upended when her father accidentally freezes himself by consuming alien contraband. To pay for the medical fees required to revive him, Luluco is reluctantly appointed as a member of the Space Patrol by the division chief, Over Justice. From that point on, her ordinary days are replaced by daily missions to protect Ogikubo from space criminals.

Luluco is characterized by her bubbly yet earnest personality and her persistent wish to be a normal girl, a catchphrase she repeats throughout the story. She is initially reluctant and overwhelmed by her new role, but she gradually develops a strong sense of responsibility, courage, and determination when faced with challenges. She can also display moments of teenage sarcasm and angst, which add depth to her character. Her primary motivation shifts from simply wanting normalcy to protecting those she cares about, especially after she forms a deep emotional bond with her assigned partner and alien transfer student, Alpha Omega Nova.

Her key relationships drive much of the narrative. Keiji, her father, serves as a symbol of her old life and the reason she entered the Space Patrol. Nova becomes both a partner and a romantic interest; Luluco develops a powerful crush on him, and the truth of his identity as a Nothingling working for a Blackholeian leads to her temporary death and subsequent resurrection. Midori, a classmate who initially creates an illegal Blackhole App, later joins the Space Patrol and becomes a teammate, though Luluco is initially dismayed by her presence. Her mother, the legendary space pirate Lalaco Godspeed, emerges as an antagonist whose schemes complicate Luluco's life, yet eventually the family reconciles.

Over the course of the series, Luluco undergoes significant development. She transitions from a reluctant participant into a proactive hero willing to sacrifice herself for her loved ones. After being killed by the emotional shock of Nova's betrayal, she journeys through Hell and, with help from Inferno Cop, returns to life with a renewed resolve. She confronts Nova and confesses her feelings, which creates a mutual emotional awakening that allows them to fight together against the Blackholeian. In the final episode, Luluco transforms into Trigger-chan, a being who can patrol the dimensions, enabling her to search for Nova across the universe.

Luluco possesses several notable abilities. When wearing the Space Patrol suit, she can perform Judgment Gun Morphing, transforming herself or parts of her suit into a powerful cannon capable of destroying large threats such as meteorites. She also demonstrates the ability to freeze objects or enemies, though this power can sometimes backfire if used carelessly. Her father genetically altered her to be more resilient in dangerous situations, granting her enhanced durability. Additionally, she is ambidextrous, a minor but distinctive trait. Later, as Trigger-chan, she gains the power to traverse dimensions.
