Suzushirō Asano is a young man living in Tokyo, balancing university studies with work at a newsstand. He secretly grapples with an uncontrollable ability to stop time, a power that emerged from a traumatic incident initially intended for good. This event's lingering trauma fuels his overly serious demeanor.

His life changes when he encounters Nazuna Hashimoto, a high school girl possessing the same time-stopping ability. Discovering that Nazuna is being forced by her half-brother, Seri Agawa, to use her power for crime, Suzushirō impulsively intervenes despite the danger. Motivated by his own painful experiences and a sense of responsibility, he is determined to shield others from suffering due to uncontrolled abilities or exploitation.

The narrative follows his struggle with external pressures and moral dilemmas as he confronts the consequences of his power while striving to protect Nazuna from further coercion.
