Description
Lisesharte Atismata, known by the title Scarlet War Princess, is the First Princess of the New Kingdom of Atismata and one of the main female protagonists of Undefeated Bahamut Chronicle. Her background is marked by hardship: born as the daughter of Count Atismata of the Old Arcadia Empire, she was kidnapped by the Empire to be used as leverage against her father. When he led a failed coup, she was abandoned and confined within the imperial castle, where she endured enslavement and bore a brand on her abdomen as a mark of being property. During the rebellion that toppled the old regime, she was confronted by Fugil Arcadia, who gave her the Divine Drag-Ride Tiamat and urged her to escape. After the revolution, her aunt Raffi Atismata ascended to the throne and adopted her, granting her the status of princess. Initially, Lisesharte displays a tsundere personality, acting brusque and combative, especially toward Lux Arcadia, whom she first encounters after he accidentally sees her bathing. Over time, she reveals a softer, more vulnerable side. She craves praise, clings to Lux for reassurance, holds naive views on romance, and becomes easily jealous of other girls who show interest in him. Beneath her proud exterior, she carries deep insecurities about her role as princess, stemming from her past as a hostage who longed for rescue and feared her own inability to act. Her primary motivation is to protect and stabilize her kingdom after the revolution, and she works tirelessly as both a leader and a warrior. In the story, she serves as a key heroine, a skilled Drag-Knight, and the head of research and development for Drag-Rides at the Royal Knight Academy. Her central relationship is with Lux Arcadia, who initially distrusts her but gradually becomes her most trusted partner and romantic interest. She is fiercely patriotic and views Lux as an equal in combat and in heart. She also maintains rivalries with other heroines such as Krulcifer Einfolk and Celistia Ralgris, though she grows to respect them. Her character development revolves around learning to rely on others, especially Lux, to share the burden of the kingdom's future. She evolves from a suspicious and defensive leader into a more vulnerable, trusting individual who embraces her role as princess. By the conclusion of the series, she marries Lux and becomes one of the five queens of the New Kingdom. Notable abilities include her exceptional skill as a Drag-Knight, ranking among the best in the Knight Squadron, and her mastery of Drag-Ride engineering. She is capable of repairing, modifying, and enhancing Drag-Rides independently, and she developed the Over Unit technique, which allows her to mount a general-purpose Drag-Ride onto her Divine Drag-Ride Tiamat to adapt to various combat situations, though it places immense strain on her stamina. Her exclusive Divine Drag-Ride, Tiamat, is a flying-type machine equipped with multiple weapons, including the Breath Gun for long-range flame attacks, a blade for close-quarters combat, the Seven Heads cannon that can fire powerful beams, the Legion array of self-propelled arrowhead projectiles, and the Suppressor, a Divine Raiment that grants control over gravity to immobilize or manipulate targets. She also undergoes a ritual called Baptism that allows her to store energy in daily life and expend it rapidly in battle. Through her technical expertise, she is responsible for maintaining and upgrading Lux's own Divine Drag-Ride, Bahamut.
