Philuffy Aingram is one of the central female characters of Undefeated Bahamut Chronicle. She is the second daughter of the Aingram Financial Conglomerate, a powerful mercantile house, and the younger sister of Relie Aingram, who serves as principal of the Royal Officer Academy. Years before the main story, her family was connected to the Old Arcadia Empire, and it was during this time that she met Lux Arcadia, a member of the imperial family and the son of a family friend. Their early relationship was distant, as Philuffy was reserved and rarely showed emotion, but it changed after an incident in which Lux's half-brother and another boy damaged a valuable statue and attempted to blame Philuffy. Lux took responsibility himself, and when Philuffy noticed the truth, she told him not to apologize for something he had not done and offered him a cookie in thanks. From that point, the two became close friends, with Philuffy calling him Lu-chan and asking him to call her Phi-chan.

Philuffy's background includes a traumatic episode involving human experimentation. She was selected as a subject for an attempt to fuse humans with beings known as Abyss, and a seed of the Ragnarok Yggdrasil called Ratatoskr was implanted in her, leaving her in a state resembling death. Lux, who found her, was devastated, but his memory of the event was erased. Philuffy was later revived with an elixir, but because the seed remained inside her, she became part Abyss. Since Abyss hybrids were regarded as threats under New Kingdom law, her sister concealed the truth and arranged for her to undergo martial arts training to help her control her abilities.

In appearance, Philuffy is a young woman with pink hair usually tied into pigtails with black ribbons and golden eyes. She has a youthful, childlike face that contrasts with her physical build, giving her a distinctive and somewhat mysterious presence. Her personality is gentle and easygoing, though she often struggles to express her emotions openly and carries an absent-minded air that can cause others to underestimate her. Beneath that calm surface, she is honest, determined, and strong-willed, rarely backing down once she has made a decision, and her steady nature makes her very difficult to argue with. She has a fondness for food, particularly sweets, and she shows little embarrassment in personal or intimate situations.

Philuffy is motivated primarily by loyalty to the people she cares about, especially Lux, and by a desire to protect her own identity and humanity in the face of what was done to her. Her role in the story is that of a Royal Officer Academy student and a Drag-Knight who pilots the powerful Divine Drag-Ride Typhon. Despite her gentle appearance, she is one of the most formidable fighters at the academy, combining her hybrid nature with extensive training. Her central development involves her struggle with her fading humanity as a result of the experiments, and with Lux's help she works to maintain her identity and overcome the trauma of her past.

Her key relationships include her bond with Lux, whom she has loved since childhood and toward whom she is affectionate, possessive, and protective; her older sister Relie, who sheltered her and kept her condition secret; and her fellow students, with whom she interacts in a quiet but consistently steady manner. She also has a talent for subtly influencing others, such as gently guilt-tripping Lux or outwitting merchants who try to cheat her.

In terms of abilities, Philuffy's hybridization grants her superhuman strength, heightened senses, and an exceptionally acute sense of smell sharp enough to distinguish different metal alloys. She is also a highly skilled martial artist, having trained under Magialca Zen Vanfrick. She can extend the power of the Abyss seed to her Drag-Ride through a state called B-Blood Wyvern, drastically amplifying her combat capabilities to the point where she can face Drag-Rides barehanded, though this state can be forcibly canceled by certain means. She has undergone Baptism twice: the first revived her and heightened her physical abilities, and the second allowed her to regulate her bodily functions more fully, suppress sensory input when necessary, and eventually remove the Ratatoskr seed safely. Her Divine Drag-Ride Typhon is a wyrm-type machine equipped with weapons such as Pile Anchor and Biting Flare, and its Divine Raiment, Missing Faith, generates a black surge that nullifies other Divine Raiments and reduces the output of surrounding Drag-Rides. By the end of the series, Philuffy marries Lux and becomes one of the five queens of the New Kingdom, completing her journey from a quiet, emotionally guarded girl into a confident and powerful figure.
