Akoya is a mermaid-type Fairilu, also known as a Mer-Fairilu, who was born from a special seed that blooms on the great Fairilu Tree in the fairy world of Little Fairilu. She has long, sky-blue hair that cascades in waves beneath a pink ribbon and a pearl-adorned clip, framing thick, center-parted bangs. Her blue-lavender eyes mirror oceanic depths, and she possesses an iridescent pink tail with pale accents. Her appearance includes pale yellow clam-shaped earrings, a golden seashell top, wrist-clasped pearl bracelets, and delicate pale pink wings. Akoya enjoys practicing yoga as a hobby, and her personal dream is to become a model. She is a student at the Magical Fairilu School, where she hones her magical skills. In the second season of the series, she becomes the buddy of a human girl named Ryuuko, a partnership that involves a strong connection and grants Ryuuko her own Fairilu Key to use magic. As a Fairilu, Akoya can use fairy magic, which is activated with her key and typically requires moonlight energy, meant to be used only to help others. She also undertakes a heartfelt quest to craft enchanted doughnuts capable of manifesting dreams, reflecting her resolve to nurture the hopes of those around her.
