Description
Fairilu Gole is a central figure in the animated series Rilu Rilu Fairilu ~Yōsei no Door~, known for being a deity-like presence among the Fairilu race. His real name is Ren, and his species motif is the water lily. Gole is a unique Fairilu, distinguished as a Legend-class fairy in the first two seasons, though he originally began as a Flower Fairilu. By the third season, he has reverted to a child-like Flower Fairilu form. Physically, Gole is depicted with a tall, humanoid build, white skin, and dark blue eyes. He possesses long red hair that reaches past his knees and light blue and green wings. His attire consists of a long white dress complemented by two light green sashes across the chest.

In terms of personality, Gole is characterized by his immense patience and high tolerance, especially towards the Fairilu under his care. He is deeply caring and places absolute trust in young Fairilu, always believing in their potential to succeed. Gole possesses a gentle and soft-minded disposition, often overlooking minor suspicions or problems, a trait that contrasts sharply with his partner, Marje.

Throughout the narrative of Rilu Rilu Fairilu ~Yōsei no Door~ and its sequel Rilu Rilu Fairilu: The Magic Mirror, Fairilu Gole serves as the overseer of all Fairilu kind. His responsibilities are vast, including the initiation of the Birth Festival, which brings a new generation of Fairilu into existence. His role is fundamentally that of a guardian and guide, setting events in motion and ensuring the well-being of the fairy world. An example of his background influence includes the revelation that he was responsible for a significant letter that the character Sumire discovered.

A key relationship for Gole is with his partner Marje, with whom he works closely, though their approaches to leadership differ due to his trusting nature. He also shares a close friendship with another character named Hopper. This friendship persists across different phases of his existence, as Gole is still a close friend of Hopper even after transforming. The character undergoes a significant development in the third season, Tell Me, Magical Pendulum ~Rilu Rilu Fairilu~. Here, he appears in a child form and goes by his real name, Ren. In this new form, he becomes an active friend and companion to the main protagonist, Lip, and her group, integrating directly into their daily adventures rather than remaining a distant overseer. While his abilities as an overseer are implied to be god-like, his notable abilities in the series largely stem from his status and responsibilities, such as overseeing the Birth Festival and holding authority over all Fairilu. His transformation into a child also demonstrates a unique capacity to change his form and status within the fairy world.
