Description
Rina Tennoji is a first-year Nijigasaki High School student and member of the school idol club. She struggles to convey emotions facially, often seeming unsociable despite her kind and friendly nature. To express herself, she uses the "Rina-chan Board," a sketchbook with drawn expressions, later enhanced into the hands-free "Auto Emotion Convert Rina-chan Board" for performances.

Invited to become an idol by a peer, she joined the club alongside Ai Miyashita and Ayumu Uehara. She collaborates with them on the Famitsu App project, expressing gratitude for their inclusion and enjoying learning new tasks. Initially nervous about her expressionless face and fearing disappointment, she works to overcome this by engaging more with friends and reducing board reliance.

Rina excels in technology, science, and mathematics, frequently seen with gadgets like tablets, laptops, or quadcopters. She creates apps, including a fortune-telling one, and enjoys arcade and video games. She struggles in Japanese class and owns a pet robot cat named Aran. Her inventive hobbies reflect a fondness for animals.

As an idol in QU4RTZ, she aims to make audiences smile through performances, hoping to one day reveal her genuine face. She participates in handshake events and monthly rankings; placing second motivated her to improve. Her development shows increased confidence, evident when she ranked first in a monthly poll and expressed determination to show her real smile with continued support.

In December 2022, Rina debuted as a Virtual YouTuber on the Love Live! YouTube channel, becoming the series' first VTuber. Her videos utilize the Auto Emotion Convert Rina-chan Board, emphasizing her technological affinity and extending her idol activities.

Physically, Rina is notably short with messy shoulder-length pink hair, yellow eyes, and a slim build. She often wears sneakers and a hoodie with her uniform. Her image color is paper white or gray, reflected in her penlight color.
