Moguzo is one of the main characters in the anime Grimgar, Ashes and Illusions and serves as the original warrior of Haruhiro's party. He is the tallest and heaviest member of the group, with a large frame that leads him to wear the most ironclad armor and wield a wide-blade broadsword that reaches shoulder height. Despite his imposing size, Moguzo possesses a calm, kind, and gentle personality. He is often shy, especially when receiving praise from others, and is one of the most soft-spoken members of the party. However, when a situation demands it, he can become violent and deadly in combat, proving himself to be a reliable frontline fighter. As a warrior, Moguzo is the party's primary tank, tasked with engaging larger opponents and absorbing damage while his companions attack from a distance. His background is shared with the rest of his group: he awoke in the world of Grimgar with no memories of his past life and was quickly pressed into service as a trainee volunteer soldier. He joined the Warrior guild and became a founding member of the party originally led by Manato. Moguzo's motivations are rooted in survival and protecting his friends, and he contributes to the party not only through combat but also through domestic roles. He loves to cook and is usually the one responsible for preparing meals for the group, finding cooking to be a fun hobby. He also has a habit of carving wood, which helps him relax. Over the course of the story, Moguzo develops a new combat skill called Wind, also known as Rage Blow or the Thanks Slash, which he executes by shouting the word thanks. His role in the party is significant, and his death during the events of the early story arc is a major turning point, leading to his replacement by a new warrior named Kuzaku. Moguzo's key relationships are with his fellow party members: Haruhiro, who becomes the leader after Manato's death, as well as Yume, Shihoru, and Ranta. He is also close to Manato before the priest's demise.
