Description
Mystras Leoxses is the eldest son of Darius Leoxses, the Knight King of the Sasan Kingdom. Growing up as an apprentice knight and next in line to become the Knight King, he felt stifled by his nation’s strict creed and longed to see the outside world. With his father’s permission, he left Sasan to serve as an envoy in Sinbad’s Sindria Trading Company, a decision that set him on a path of adventure and personal freedom.
Mystras is characterized by a curious and adventurous spirit, combined with a strong sense of loyalty and determination. He is brave, principled, and willing to fight for his companions and his ideals. His indomitable spirit is matched by exceptional spear-fighting skills, which he demonstrates in battle. During a confrontation with Hinahoho, he activates the Household Vessel of the djinn Baal, becoming one of Sinbad’s household members and gaining enhanced combat abilities tied to that sacred vessel.
In the story, Mystras serves as a supporting character and an early ally of Sinbad. He is a founding member of the Eight Generals of Sindria, though his tenure is cut short. He fights alongside Sinbad, Hinahoho, Jafar, and others in the fledgling days of their venture, helping to establish the Sindria Trading Company and defending their growing alliance. His most significant relationship is with Sinbad, whom he trusts implicitly and follows into dangerous conflicts. He also shares a close bond with his younger brother, Spartos Leoxses, who later succeeds him.
Mystras undergoes notable development as he sheds the constraints of his homeland and embraces a life of exploration and camaraderie. His journey from a constrained noble son to a battle-hardened general is marked by his willingness to sacrifice for the people he cares about. Ultimately, he dies in battle against Parthevia, a war that shapes the future of Sindria. After his death, his brother Spartos takes his intended place among the Eight Generals. Mystras’s legacy endures as a symbol of courage and the pursuit of freedom.
