TV-Series
Description
Kyoya Hashiba is a man intensely passionate about game creation and visual design, initially dissatisfied with his career in a small game company. After an unexplained event triggers a significant timeline reset, he regresses physically to age 18, finding himself ten years in the past at the start of university. He enrolls in the Visual Arts Course at Koyo Institute of Arts.

Possessing knowledge of future industry trends and the eventual success of key figures now his peers, Kyoya leverages this foresight to shape events. He forms close bonds and a creative group, later known as Platinum Generation, with fellow students: aspiring director Nanako Kogure, illustrator Shinoaki Aki, and writer Tsurayuki Rokuonji. Kyoya often acts as a catalyst and unifying force, providing strategic direction based on future knowledge while actively participating in creative production, especially planning and visual design.

His relationship with Shinoaki Aki transforms from admiration for her future work into a deep creative partnership and romantic connection. Kyoya frequently prioritizes his friends' well-being and success over his own ambitions, sometimes to the point of self-sacrifice. This manifests when he deliberately alters events to prevent Shinoaki from suffering a future career-halting injury, an act with unforeseen temporal consequences.

Kyoya's future knowledge creates internal conflict, particularly concerning his relationship with Kawasegawa and the potential disruption of the original, successful timeline where Platinum Generation achieved fame without his direct student involvement. He struggles with the ethics of altering destinies and the fear of erasing the future he knew. His journey involves shifting from reliance on future knowledge to developing genuine skills and leadership through present experiences and hard work.

A major collaborative university project is the creation of the game "Forest of the Five Colors," a significant endeavor solidifying the group's bond and showcasing their collective talent. Kyoya contributes heavily to its concept and visual design. His actions lead to a confrontation with Kawasegawa, who reveals her own connection to the original timeline and the cost of his alterations, forcing Kyoya to reconcile his desires with the changed world's reality.

Following graduation, Kyoya pursues a career supporting creators, establishing his own small studio focused on planning and visual direction. He maintains strong ties with Platinum Generation members, assisting their professional projects while navigating the altered timeline's complex personal landscape, including resolving his relationship with Kawasegawa and rekindling his bond with Shinoaki. The "Road to..." OVA depicts his struggles and disillusionment within the game industry before the timeline reset event.
