Description
Kyōya Hashiba, originally from Nara Prefecture, graduated from a local private university and entered game development. By 26, he directed an eroge company, but its bankruptcy left him unemployed and emotionally drained, forcing a return to his parents' home. Reflecting on past regrets, especially rejecting acceptance to Ōnaka University of Arts, he inexplicably traveled back in time to 2006, resetting his life to age 18. Seizing this chance, he enrolled in Ōnaka's Department of Film Science.

He possesses short brown hair and blue eyes. His typical attire combines an off-gray sweater over a green button-up shirt, a charcoal gray undershirt, black pants, and red-and-white sneakers.

Kyōya displays a determined, persistent attitude, retaining the maturity of his 28-year-old self despite his younger body. Often calm under pressure, he earns peers' admiration. While lacking exceptional artistic talent, his problem-solving and leadership skills excel. He handles crises effectively, like salvaging a film project with still shots when a video camera failed, and naturally assumes director roles in group efforts. His organizational abilities aid administrative tasks, demonstrated by supporting Eiko Kawasegawa in 2016. Initially perceived as ordinary, his sincerity and passion grant him charismatic influence, motivating others like Nanako Kogure and Aki Shino.

After his first return, Kyōya's overprotectiveness inadvertently stifled peers. During a game project, his focus on deadlines and compromises caused Tsurayuki Rokuonji to lose creative passion and drop out of university. Filled with regret over this failure, Kyōya experienced a second time leap to 2018. In this timeline, married to Aki Shino (now Aki Hashiba), they had a daughter, Maki, who strongly resembled Aki. As director of Attraction Point's development department, he lived an outwardly ideal life but chose to return to the past again to correct his mistakes, sacrificing this future. In his third attempt, he adjusted his approach: encouraging independence while offering support, such as urging Nanako to practice singing publicly and advising Aki to explore new artistic environments with the Kuroda group.

His relationships are central:
His bond with Aki Shino begins with mutual artistic admiration; her illustrations inspired him during career struggles. She develops romantic feelings, kissing him during a school festival. In the alternate 2018 timeline, they marry and have a daughter. After Kyōya's second return, he supports her career while navigating her affections. In the *Remake Our Life! Ver.β* continuity—where Kyōya never time-traveled—he and Eiko Kawasegawa eventually marry after professional collaboration. Kyōya recognizes Nanako Kogure's future fame as "N@NA" and encourages her talent. Nanako develops romantic feelings, competing with Aki, but Kyōya primarily guides her towards independence, advising actions like opening a video-sharing account. In the original 2016 timeline, Eiko Kawasegawa hired Kyōya after a chance encounter, forming a professional partnership. After his leap to 2006, they became peers and collaborators. Kyōya's leadership initially helped Tsurayuki Rokuonji financially, but creative compromises during a game project caused Tsurayuki to leave university, driving Kyōya's second leap. Later, Kyōya prioritizes nurturing Tsurayuki's potential without overbearing control. Keiko Tomioka, a mysterious figure appearing in both timelines, is linked to Kyōya's time travel, implying supernatural involvement.

Kyōya's time travel has multiverse implications: His first leap altered history, causing Platinum Generation members to abandon creative careers due to his stifling influence. His second leap created a timeline where he married Aki and had a child, which he abandoned to rectify his friends' diminished futures. The final timeline sees him balancing support with autonomy for collective success.

His name reflects "respectful, polite" (恭也) and "bridge field" (橋場). He has lived in Nara, Osaka, and Kanagawa. Keiko Tomioka, resembling a Magical Girl from his past, is instrumental in his time-leap experiences.
