Description
Maylu Sakurai is the main heroine of the MegaMan NT Warrior anime series and the operator of the NetNavi Roll.EXE. She has been Lan Hikari's best friend and neighbor since childhood, often waiting for him in the morning so they can walk to school together. Maylu is a bright and academically strong student, generally kind, feminine, and soft-spoken, but she possesses a short, explosive temper that is most often provoked by Lan's carelessness or recklessness. Her motivations are driven by a deep care for Lan and a desire to no longer be the one who always needs protection; she wants to prove that she and Roll can save him in turn. This wish to become stronger fuels her participation in NetBattling tournaments and her eventual mastery of the Cross Fusion ability, which allows her to merge physically with Roll.
In the story, Maylu remains a consistent main character across the series, standing by Lan during his battles against the criminal organization World Three and later threats. She takes part in the N1 Grand Prix, where she defeats an opponent despite a corrupted battle chip, and she cheers for Lan even when the arena is sinking. She is given the dog program Rush by Dr. Hikari and later learns to use Synchro Chips.
