Maysa, also known as Commander Beef, is a character from the anime MegaMan NT Warrior. He appears as a fish seller who claims to know nothing about NetNavis or cyber battles, but this is a cover for his true role as a Net Agent and the operator of SharkMan.EXE. Under his alias, he leads a small team of agents that includes Sal and Miyu, and he mentors Lan Hikari in his fight against the criminal organization World Three. As a civilian, Maysa is eccentric and energetic, constantly urging others to eat fish and exercise, and his catchphrase is “Take your calcium!” He has a strong interest in fish and fish facts and can be short-tempered when ignored. When acting as Commander Beef, he becomes a calm, authoritative leader with a deeper voice and a thorough knowledge of the net and its history. This dual identity is not a split personality but a deliberate disguise meant to protect his secret work. He holds a romantic interest in Ms. Mari, which puts him in friendly rivalry with Higsby. Maysa participates in the N1 Grand Prix, teams up with Lan on several missions, and provides critical battle chips and advice. In the sequel series MegaMan NT Warrior Axess, he makes a brief return to DenTech City to pursue a Dark Chip dealer. He is a capable Net Battler and his bond with SharkMan makes them an effective team. Though his direct appearances diminish after the first series, his role as a mentor and secret ally remains a notable part of Lan's early journey.
