Description
Ai Narata, formerly known as "Naracchi" in the national idol group JPX48, faced expulsion after publicly calling an overenthusiastic male fan a "creep" when he touched her hands. This reaction stemmed from severe androphobia rooted in childhood trauma. Prolonged sexual abuse by her mother Kimiko Narata's partner, Seiji, caused this fear. During one incident, Seiji forcibly kissed Ai, including intrusive acts. Kimiko dismissed Ai's reports, failing to intervene. This neglect compounded Ai's trauma, leading her to cut her hair short and violently destroy her teddy bear. Her uncle, Taichi Narata, offered limited support by installing a lock on her bedroom door and providing a key to his house as an escape, but the psychological abuse persisted.

Seeking refuge from men, Ai joined JPX48 believing it female-dominated. She did not anticipate the group's primary audience being middle-aged men, exposing her to triggering interactions. Expelled, she enrolled in the all-female Kouka School of Musical and Theatrical Arts as a sanctuary to avoid men, motivated by escape, not passion for theater. At Kouka, Ai maintained a cold, reserved demeanor, especially toward her outgoing roommate Sarasa Watanabe, whom she initially found irritating. Her androphobia manifested in extreme anxiety during encounters with men, including a confrontation near campus with the same JPX48 fan involved in her expulsion. Sarasa intervened, but Ai fled in panic, perceiving the fan as a threat akin to Seiji, highlighting her persistent trauma.

Ai's development involved gradual emotional openness and trust-building. Her relationship with Sarasa evolved from hostility to mutual reliance, with Sarasa's support helping Ai navigate triggers. Physical indicators like her hair growing longer symbolized healing. She formed connections with classmates like Kaoru Hoshino and Ayako Yamada, indicating broader social integration. While her trauma remains unresolved, she progresses toward performing emotionally expressive roles, supported by peers and her uncle Taichi, the only male she trusts.
