She graduated with a degree in drama from the University of California, Irvine.

Her entry into voice acting began in an unconventional manner. Following a friend's suggestion, she entered AX Idol, a voice acting competition for amateurs held at the Anime Expo convention. Since then, she has worked extensively with studios such as Bang Zoom! Entertainment, Crunchyroll, and Studiopolis.

Huynh's voice is often described as soft and melodic, making her a frequent choice for characters who are sweet, shy, or docile, though she has also demonstrated range by voicing more energetic or emotionally complex roles. Her career encompasses hundreds of roles across various media.

Some of her most recognized roles include the ghostly Menma in Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day, the quiet yet passionate Hanayo Koizumi in the Love Live! franchise, Ui Hirasawa in K-On!, and Alluka Zoldyck in Hunter x Hunter (2011). She is widely known for her portrayal of the kind-hearted heiress Haru Okumura in the critically acclaimed Persona 5 and its various sequels and spin-offs, including Persona 5 Royal, Persona 5 Strikers, and Persona 5 Tactica. Another significant and beloved role is Marianne von Edmund in Fire Emblem: Three Houses and Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes, a character whose introverted nature and personal struggles resonated deeply with players. Her other notable game credits include Altina Orion in The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel series, Pela in Honkai: Star Rail, and Agnea in Octopath Traveler II.

Beyond anime and video games, her work extends to Western animation and Chinese donghua.
