Aiko Tachibana, a 15-year-old girl, has her life shattered by the catastrophic "Burst" in 2035 during a Japanese research project. The event spawns "Matter," an uncontrollable artificial life form that ravages Kurobe Gorge, forcing the government to seal off the devastated research city. Orphaned by the disaster, Aiko wrestles with unresolved grief over her family’s loss.

Two years later, transfer student Yuya Kanzaki exposes a hidden truth: her body holds a critical link to the Burst’s origin, the Primary Point. Thrust into a relentless mission, Aiko seeks answers about her artificial physiology and its connection to the tragedy.

Her quest forces her to confront the ethical quandaries and existential weight of her condition while braving the perilous quarantined zone’s hazards.
