Description
Eleven-year-old Inori Yuitsuka has a dream that seems nearly impossible to reach: to become a champion figure skater. By the standards of competitive skating, she is already too old to start, having had no formal training while her peers have been on the ice since they could walk. Her mother, already heartbroken after her older sister's skating career ended in failure, refuses to put Inori through the same experience. Left to fend for herself, Inori secretly practices alone at her local rink, clinging to the only place where she feels she can truly be herself.

Her fate changes when she meets Tsukasa Akeuraji, a dejected former ice dancer now working as an assistant coach at the rink. Tsukasa knows the pain of being told he started too late; his own solo skating dreams were crushed for the same reason, leaving him adrift and disconnected from his passion. Seeing his own struggle reflected in Inori’s desperate determination, he is moved to act. After witnessing her raw, natural talent on the ice, he makes a bold promise: he will become her coach and guide her to win a gold medal on the world's stage.

The story is set in Nagoya, Japan, and follows this unlikely duo as they navigate the fiercely competitive world of figure skating. The series details Inori's grueling journey through badge tests and regional tournaments like the Meikoh Cup, where she must not only master technical skills but also overcome her own crippling self-doubt. As she rises through the novice ranks, she faces formidable rivals, including the naturally gifted and powerful Hikaru Kamisaki and the talented but struggling Jun Yodaka. The narrative balances Inori's growth with the emotional journey of the adults around her, particularly Tsukasa, as he rediscovers his purpose and confronts the painful memories of his own athletic past. Their shared tenacity and mutual belief form the emotional core of a story about proving that it is never too late to chase your dream.
