Hikaru Tōno is a Japanese voice actress born in Tokyo on March 5, 1996. Affiliated with the agency Hibiki, she began her career in 2018 and has since become known for her energetic and expressive performances across a wide range of anime series and video games.

Her interest in voice-based work was sparked in childhood when her father suggested she become an announcer after hearing her read aloud. During her teenage years, she was an active member of her school's choir club and competed in national chorus tournaments. Despite her early passion, her path to becoming a voice actress was lengthy; she experienced seven years of unsuccessful auditions before finally passing a talent competition held by Bushiroad's agency Hibiki in 2017.

Tōno's first credited voice role was as Melusina Merlin in the mobile game Triple Monsters. Her first major role in an anime television series came in 2019 when she was cast as Serena in Bermuda Triangle: Colorful Pastrale. This role was a significant breakthrough and helped establish her in the industry.

Throughout her career, Tōno has voiced a considerable number of main characters. She is widely recognized for her role as Matikanetannhauser in the popular franchise Uma Musume Pretty Derby, a character she has voiced in the second season of the anime and its related video games. She also gained significant attention for portraying Howan in the Sanrio music-themed anime Show By Rock!! Mashumairesh!!. Other notable early lead roles include Yujia Wang in Assault Lily Bouquet and Shiori Yumeoji in Revue Starlight: Re LIVE.

In 2024, Tōno portrayed Anna Yanami in the popular comedy series Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroines!. Her performance in this role was highly praised, earning her the award for Best Japanese Voice Actress Performance at the 11th Anime Trending Awards. Her other well-known roles include Eno in I've Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years and Maxed Out My Level, Suzuran in In the Heart of Kunoichi Tsubaki, Towa in Studio Apartment, Good Lighting, Angel Included, and Yuri in Even Given the Worthless Appraiser Class, I'm Actually the Strongest.

In addition to her anime work, Tōno has a strong presence in mobile and console games, having voiced characters such as Tribbie in Honkai: Star Rail, the title character in Matikanetannhauser in Uma Musume Pretty Derby, and roles in Azur Lane, Heaven Burns Red, and the English dub of the children's series Firebuds. She has also performed on stage, reprising her role as Yujia Wang and Shiori Yumeoji in several productions based on the Assault Lily and Revue Starlight franchises.

Tōno is known for her cheerful personality and is affectionately nicknamed Tonopii, a name given to her by her senior colleague and fellow voice actress Mimori Suzuko. Her skills include dancing and nutrition management, and she holds a certification in home cooking. Outside of work, she enjoys watching stage plays, playing the piano, and reading.
