A gourmet demon named Kanan descends from the demon realm to the human world with a singular craving: the sweet, youthful souls of high school students. Disguising herself as an elegant and popular girl, she quickly becomes the chair of the discipline committee at Tama Municipal Votive Academy, a position that gives her prime access to her desired prey. Her target is an endlessly optimistic underclassman named Youji Kyougi, whose soul radiates with vibrant energy. However, when Kanan attempts to claim him, her declaration of intent is comically misinterpreted. Instead of becoming her meal, Youji believes he has become her boyfriend, and through a series of misunderstandings, Kanan finds herself bound to a lover’s contract with the boy she meant to devour.
