Sayumi Suzushiro is a Japanese voice actress born on February 4, 1998, in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. She is affiliated with the talent agency ARTSVISION. Her interest in becoming a voice actor was sparked during her childhood; she was encouraged by a teacher who complimented her voice, and later, in middle school, she became fascinated with voice acting after discovering radio programs hosted by voice actors. To pursue this career, she enrolled in the Japan Narration Acting Institute during her second year of high school while working part-time jobs. She made her professional debut in 2017.
Suzushiro's first major leading role came in 2018 when she was cast as Akira Ono in the anime series Hi Score Girl. This performance helped establish her in the industry. She gained further recognition for her role as Uruka Takemoto in the romantic comedy We Never Learn: BOKUBEN and as Kirie in the aerial combat series The Magnificent KOTOBUKI, both in 2019.
Her career continued to build with a variety of significant roles. She voiced Kurena Kukumila in the 2021 science fiction drama 86 and Christina Beltrum in Seirei Gensouki - Spirit Chronicles the same year. Suzushiro is also known for her consistent portrayal of Kei Shirogane, the younger sister of the main character, across all seasons of the popular romantic comedy Kaguya-sama: Love is War. Her versatility is demonstrated through roles such as the elf Wise in Do You Love Your Mom and Her Two-Hit Multi-Target Attacks? and the villainous Dodonko in the film Konosuba: Legend of Crimson. In 2022, she took on the role of Holt in The Dawn of the Witch and Asagao in In the Heart of Kunoichi Tsubaki.
A defining moment in her recent career was her performance as Nijika Ijichi, the energetic drummer of the band Kessoku Band, in the critically acclaimed 2022 anime Bocchi the Rock!. This role highlighted her ability to portray energetic and charismatic characters and led to a major achievement.
