TV-Series
Description
Uruka Takemoto is a third-year student at Ichinose Academy and one of its main heroines, distinguished by her short brown hair, violet eyes, and a tanned, athletic build shaped by her rigorous training as a competitive swimmer. Her typical school attire features an open collar that reveals her collarbone and neck, sleeves rolled up to her elbows, a blue cardigan tied around her waist, and loafers worn without socks. For swimming, she wears a white competition swimsuit with blue trim.

Athletically gifted, Uruka has earned multiple titles in freestyle swimming events, though she struggles significantly in all academic subjects and exhibits a strong aversion to studying, often burning out quickly when confronted with difficult material. She is generally friendly and maintains positive relationships with all main characters, openly expressing her likes and dislikes in a manner that sometimes confuses Nariyuki Yuiga. Despite being skilled in housework and cooking, she conceals these abilities from Nariyuki and her classmates.

Uruka has known Nariyuki Yuiga, Haruma Kobayashi, Ayuko Kawase, and Chinami Umihara since middle school. During that time, she initially developed a fear of swimming but eventually overcame it. She enrolled at Ichinose Academy through a principal's recommendation and has been in love with Nariyuki since middle school, a feeling that began after she helped him cope emotionally with his father's death.

Her character development centers on her academic challenges and romantic feelings. To qualify for an athletic scholarship at Otowa Sports University, she must improve her grades, particularly in English, and receives tutoring from Nariyuki. She becomes more dedicated to her studies after receiving an exchange offer from Otowa Sports University to study in Australia, contingent on scoring over 80% in English on the admission test. She eventually achieves fluency in English, fulfilling this goal.

Within the series' narrative, Uruka is the only heroine to confess her feelings to Nariyuki in the main route before the separate endings. Her storyline includes a significant confession where she reveals her long-standing feelings to Nariyuki before leaving for Australia. Several years later, she returns as a world champion swimmer, and Nariyuki proposes to her, which she accepts. This conclusion is part of one of the multiple branching endings, with the author stating that all routes are equally valid, leaving the true ending to reader interpretation.

Uruka uses nicknames for all her friends except Nariyuki, whom she calls by his first name without honorifics. She is afraid of swimming initially in middle school but overcomes this fear. She is good at cooking and can swim in any body of water, including hot springs. She likes dogs and karaoke but hates studying. She is the second girl to kiss Nariyuki, mistakenly believing it was a common overseas greeting on the cheek rather than the lips. She has no significant conflicts with Mafuyu Kirisu, making her the only main character in such a position.
