Kana Ichinose

Description
Kana Ichinose is a Japanese voice actress born on December 20, 1996, in Hokkaido. She is affiliated with the talent agency Sigma Seven. Ichinose graduated from the Sapporo School of Music and Entertainment. She began her career in 2016 and landed her first main role in 2018 as Ichigo in the anime series Darling in the Franxx.

Ichinose has gained recognition for a wide variety of major roles. She voiced Marlya Noel in Fairy Gone, Yuzuriha Ogawa in the Dr. Stone franchise, and Sayu Ogiwara in Higehiro. In 2021, she was cast as Hisui in the Tsukihime remake series. A significant milestone in her career was being cast as the lead character Suletta Mercury in the 2022 series Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury, marking the first time a female protagonist headlined a Gundam television anime. In the same series, she also voiced the character Ericht Samaya. Her other prominent roles from 2022 onward include Suzu Kanade in Ayakashi Triangle, Maaa in Made in Abyss: The Golden City of the Scorching Sun, Miku "Purin" Suride in Do It Yourself!!, Fern in Frieren, and Olivia in Trapped in a Dating Sim. She also portrays Maki Shijo in the Kaguya-sama: Love is War series. In 2024, she was cast as Callis al Britannia in Code Geass: Rozé of the Recapture and as Constance Grail in The Holy Grail of Eris. Her 2025 roles include Mio Yorue in Young Ladies Don't Play Fighting Games and Tessia Eralith in The Beginning After the End.

Her work is not limited to anime television series. Ichinose has also provided voices for video games, such as Ryne in Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers and the character季 (Ki) in Goddess of Victory: Nikke. She performed as part of the unit XX:me, singing several ending theme songs for Darling in the Franxx. She also co-hosted a radio program with fellow voice actress Lynn to promote Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury.

Ichinose has received significant industry recognition for her performances. In 2021, she won the Best New Actress Award at the 15th Seiyu Awards. She followed this achievement by winning the Best Leading Actor Award at the 18th Seiyu Awards in March 2024.
