Description
Olivia, often called Livia by those close to her, is a central figure in Trapped in a Dating Sim: The World of Otome Games is Tough for Mobs. She is the heroine of the original otome game that forms the foundation of the series' world, a commoner with rare holy or light magic who is invited to attend the Royal Academy as a special student and candidate to become the Saint of the Holfort Kingdom. She is an honor student and academically gifted, capable of fully understanding her textbooks well before the end of the term, an achievement that even many nobles cannot match.

Physically, Olivia is a young woman with light brown hair styled in a medium-length bob and greenish-blue eyes. She is regarded as beautiful, though her appearance is described as modest and understated compared to the more striking presence of aristocratic women such as Angelica. Her humble origins shape much of her demeanor. She has a gentle, modest, and kind disposition, and she is often overwhelmed, and sometimes stressed, by the expensive and luxurious environment of the academy, which is dominated by nobles who largely look down on her.

Her personality is characterized by genuine warmth toward others, but also by a lack of consistent self-confidence. As a commoner attending a school full of nobles, she frequently feels out of place and questions her own worth. She dislikes gambling. She becomes noticeably more cheerful after befriending Leon and Angelica, yet her self-doubt can deepen when she feels overly dependent on them, leading her to question whether she has value in her own right. Her underlying motivations revolve around finding her place in a society that is often hostile to her, proving her own worth, and eventually defining her own happiness rather than following the path prescribed by the game's original storyline.

Her role in the story evolves considerably. In the original game scenario, she enters the academy on a scholarship and eventually gains the affection of the five main capture targets, including crown prince Julius and his companions. In the actual events of the series, however, her experience diverges from that script. She struggles with isolation and mistreatment from noble students until Leon intervenes on her behalf, which sets her on a different course. As a potential romantic interest of high-ranking figures, her presence also acts as a catalyst for many of the political and personal conflicts in the early part of the story. Over time, she takes on the role of Saint of the Holfort Kingdom, a position that grants her significant influence within the Church and makes her magical power vital to the kingdom's defense.

Her relationships are central to her development. Leon Fou Bartfort is the most significant figure in her life. She views him as her savior and the person who gave her a place where she belongs, and her feelings for him grow into deep romantic devotion. Unlike in the original game routes, where she could not refuse the advances of the capture targets because of her low social standing, her love for Leon is genuine and freely given. She also forms a close and lasting friendship with Angelica Rapha Redgrave, and the two support each other through the social turmoil around them. Both Olivia and Angelica eventually become engaged to Leon, and their bond becomes a defining part of her life.

Her development throughout the series is marked by a steady growth in confidence and agency. She begins as a timid commoner overwhelmed by the expectations of noble society, but she gradually transforms into a more assertive young woman who embraces her identity as the Saint. A key part of her growth is her realization that she can choose her own happiness instead of simply following the role the game assigned to her, a change that gives her a stronger sense of purpose and self-worth.

In terms of abilities, Olivia is one of the most magically talented characters in the series. Her rare holy or light magic grants her immense potential, and she is described as crucial to the kingdom's defense. She starts as a relative novice, initially an amateur adventurer, but she develops into a highly skilled sorceress over the course of the story. In addition to her innate talents, she makes use of various items and artifacts connected to the legacy of the Saint, which help her protect herself and her allies against threats ranging from political rivals to monsters. Her combination of scholarship, magical power, and personal growth makes her a key figure in both the academy's conflicts and the larger struggles of the kingdom.
