Makoto Koichi is a Japanese voice actress affiliated with the agency Stay Luck. She was born on February 17. Originally from Nagano Prefecture, she was raised in Tokyo.

Koichi's path to voice acting began on the stage. She attended a high school with a theater department and gained performance experience, including a role in a musical adaptation of Lucky Star. To prepare for this part, she studied the character in the Lucky Star anime, which sparked her interest in voice acting. She joined the agency Atomic Monkey in 2014 and moved to her current agency, Stay Luck, in April 2021. Her first main role was in the video game Toys Drive.

Koichi has built an extensive and varied career in television animation. She is known for voicing young male characters as well as female roles. In 2023, she was cast as Yahiko Myōjin in the new Rurouni Kenshin anime adaptation. That same year, she also voiced Teruko Ōkura in Bungo Stray Dogs 4, and Nurugai in Hell's Paradise: Jigokuraku. In the long-running franchise, she took on the role of Lavian Winslet in The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel – Northern War. She also voices Kei Uomi, the player of the character Oicazzo, in Shangri-La Frontier.

Her other prominent roles include Sakura Otome in Lycoris Recoil, Aogiri in In the Heart of Kunoichi Tsubaki, Kufo in By the Grace of the Gods, Yuka Tokitate in I'm Standing on a Million Lives, Elza in Interspecies Reviewers, and the young Lugh in The World's Finest Assassin Gets Reincarnated in Another World as an Aristocrat. She also played Shizuku Hasei in Undead Girl Murder Farce, Yuni Vanquish in The Price of Smiles, Mister Bobley in Radiant, Mao Tsukuda in Farewell, My Dear Cramer, Rin Onoda in the original net anime Shiyakusho, Punkun in The Missing 8, Shunta Mogami in Battle Spirits Double Drive, and Marilith in Brotherhood: Final Fantasy XV. She was also part of the cast for the anime film Seven Days War, playing the role of Malet. Additionally, she voiced Kaho in The Fire Hunter.

Beyond anime, Koichi has an extensive body of work in video games. Some of her notable game roles include Haru Yūki in The Idolmaster Cinderella Girls, Kaya in Princess Connect! Re:Dive, and 9-Volt and Kurina in WarioWare Gold. She also provided the voice for the protagonist Shizumaru Hisame in Samurai Shodown.

With a career that began in 2014, Makoto Koichi has become a consistently active and versatile presence in the Japanese voice acting industry, taking on a wide range of characters across multiple popular anime series and video games.
