TV-Series
Description
Keisuke Ueno is the younger sibling of Yosuke Ueno, the handsome and popular male lead of the story. While still an elementary school student, Keisuke is portrayed as remarkably cool-headed and quick-witted, possessing a maturity that often seems beyond their years. There is some conflicting information regarding Keisuke's gender, with some sources referring to the character as female and others as male, but the consistent characterization is that of a sharp and decisive young individual.

Personality-wise, Keisuke is defined by a blunt and often merciless attitude, particularly toward their older brother, Yosuke, for whom they show little deference. Keisuke demonstrates an adult-level capacity for judgment and action. An early example of this occurs when, sent on an errand, Keisuke spots Hana Tabata hesitating outside a house and immediately reports her as a suspicious person. Despite this collected exterior, Keisuke does have moments of becoming flustered, revealing an age-appropriate, more innocent side that adds depth to the character.

Keisuke's role in the story is primarily as a supporting character whose actions often intersect with the main plot. Initially, Keisuke is quite harsh towards Hana Tabata. However, after recognizing Hana's sincere personality, this attitude shifts to one of trust and reliance. Keisuke becomes more rough and casual with Hana, and the two begin to cooperate whenever problems arise, with Hana often feeling overwhelmed by Keisuke's force of character.

A key aspect of Keisuke's motivation is a precocious crush on Ritsuko, a woman who is significantly older. This infatuation is strong enough that Keisuke frequently visits the Kanda Flower Shop just for the chance to see her. This subplot has been noted as a divisive element among fans of the series, with opinions varying on its charm and relevance. In terms of notable abilities, Keisuke's sharp judgment and decisiveness are their most prominent traits, allowing them to assess situations and act with an efficiency uncommon for their age. Like their older brother, Keisuke is popular among classmates, yet they are even more indifferent and insensitive to the attention they receive, coldly brushing off any advances from peers.
