Description
Elementary school students struggling with everyday challenges such as keeping their rooms tidy, putting off homework because they are too absorbed in video games, or watching their test scores stagnate find help from an unusual cast of experts. The series centers on multiple young protagonists, each facing a specific issue. Katatsu Seita is a cheerful boy who struggles with studying and organization, frequently frustrating his more responsible younger sister Rika with his messy room. Tokiwa Kanta is an energetic boy who has trouble managing his time, often getting so caught up in manga and games that he postpones his homework. Fourth-grader Ruito, along with his friend Takeo, becomes worried when his grades begin to drop despite his efforts.
When these children encounter a problem, a unique mentor appears to provide passionate instruction on important life skills not typically taught in school. The messy Seita receives advice from Seiton-sensei, an expert on cleaning whose catchphrase is "Seiton-sensei's one-point advice". Kanta, who procrastinates, meets Watch-hakase, a specialist on time management who offers "Watch points". Ruito, struggling academically, is visited by Mochibei-sensei, a mochi-shaped fairy who only appears to children who dislike studying and teaches methods for growing to enjoy learning, often with the help of his cool and slightly sharp-tongued partner John. Each of these short segments demonstrates practical solutions, showing how getting organized can lead to more free time and using time wisely can help studying progress more smoothly. The narrative is structured around these distinct character arcs, with the series adapting its source material from a line of childrens practical books published by Obunsha that aim to teach lifelong skills.
