Description
Lugh, formerly Allen Smith, was Earth's greatest assassin until betrayed and killed during his retirement mission. A goddess offered him reincarnation into a fantasy world with retained memories and skills, conditional on assassinating the Hero destined to destroy that world upon adulthood. Accepting for a chance to live freely, he was reborn as Lugh Tuatha Dé, heir to a noble family of assassins serving the kingdom.

He possesses spiky silver hair and light grey eyes, typically wearing a tailored black assassin's coat with high collar, red vest, black pants, fingerless gloves, and formal shoes. A crimson aura manifests in his left eye during combat readiness. His personality merges cold, analytical pragmatism from his past life with gradually emerging emotional depth. Initially viewing relationships through utilitarian lenses—recruiting allies like his magic instructor cousin Dia, the abandoned mage Tarte, and trafficked orphan Maha for strategic value—he evolves to genuinely care for them as family. This shift stems partly from his father Cian’s teachings that assassins should uphold justice, contrasting with his former organization’s indoctrination.

His abilities blend both lives. The goddess granted him five talents: S-Rank Rapid Recovery (100x accelerated stamina, mana, and healing), A-Rank Spell Weaver (inventing new spells), B-Rank Limitless Growth (breaking natural limitations through training), C-Rank Martial Arts (enhanced hand-to-hand combat), and an unrevealed D-Rank trump card whose effectiveness diminishes if disclosed. Later additions include S-Rank Beastification (animal transformation for heightened senses/prowess) from Epona and S-Rank Multi-Chant (simultaneous spell incantations) via their bond. His surgically inherited Mystic Eyes of Tuatha Dé grant long-range vision, dynamic visual acuity, night vision, and mana perception. He integrates modern knowledge into magic, creating innovations like firearms and Gungnir—tactical kinetic strikes using gravity-manipulated tungsten rods dropped from orbit.

His mission to kill the Hero, Epona Rhiannon, complicates upon discovering her true nature: a pacifist burdened by a destructive Berserker skill and societal manipulation. Instead of following the goddess’s directive, he seeks alternatives to prevent her rampage without assassination. This leads him to befriend and support Epona, eventually incorporating her as his fourth fiancée alongside Dia, Tarte, and Maha. His moral code forbids killing innocents, focusing only on direct threats to his mission or loved ones, though he employs manipulation, torture, or lethal force against betrayers or corrupt entities like Count Venkaur.

Internally, Lugh grapples with reconciling his identity as a weapon with his reawakening humanity. He feels romantic attraction but initially avoids reciprocating companions' affections out of fear of exploitation, seeking physical release elsewhere until gradually accepting their relationships. His tactical brilliance and "Crazy-Prepared" ethos drive him to amass resources, intelligence networks, and experimental weapons while maintaining fronts like a cosmetics business for funding and cover. Despite formidable capabilities, he acknowledges the Hero's inherent superiority in raw power and remains vigilant against potential betrayals, including those possibly orchestrated by the goddess who reincarnated him.
