Description
Yuni Vanquish is a pilot in the Kingdom of Soleil's military, hailing from a remote border region. She operates as part of a tightly coordinated sibling team with her twin brother, Rune Vanquish, typically identified as the older twin. Yuni possesses a bright, energetic personality marked by strong caring instincts and a pronounced fondness for cute aesthetics. This outward positivity is counterbalanced by significant impulsiveness and recklessness; she frequently acts without fully considering circumstances or consequences, driven by fierce, unwavering beliefs.

Acknowledged for her piloting skills with humanoid combat vehicles called Theurgears, Yuni nevertheless struggles with situational awareness and tactical command. She relies heavily on Rune, who provides essential support, stabilizes her rash decisions, and excels in collaborative maneuvers, acting as her calmer, strategically minded counterpart.

Originating from the kingdom's borderland defenders, Yuni and Rune early on bluntly questioned Princess Yūki Soleil’s suitability to rule. This skepticism led Yuni to impulsively challenge the Princess's retainer, Joshua Ingram, escalating into a simulated Capture the Flag battle after their perceived disrespect.

As the conflict with the Grandiga Empire intensifies, Yuni fights on the frontlines. A pivotal moment occurs when her impulsive actions during a mission to rescue civilians, ordered by Princess Yūki and fueled by loyalty, inadvertently cause substantial casualties among civilians and soldiers. Witnessing these devastating consequences profoundly impacts her, fostering a deeper understanding of the war's brutal realities and the weight of military responsibility, shifting her from brashness towards a more measured approach, though her loyalty remains fierce.

Her unwavering loyalty to the kingdom continues to motivate her throughout the conflict, aligning with its Gray-and-Gray Morality. She participates in high-stakes combat, including encounters with Grandiga's elite Burger Squad. Her relationship with Rune remains central, defined by mutual reliance and shared purpose as they navigate escalating violence and personal losses inflicted by the war.
