Marie Du Bled

Description
Marie Du Bled is a Belgian actress, born on September 3, 1986, who is primarily known for her extensive work in voice acting, particularly in the French dubbing of animated series and films. She trained at the Institut des Arts de Diffusion (IAD) in Brussels. Her entry into the performing arts came through an extracurricular poetry workshop in primary school, followed by various theater courses during her secondary education, which ultimately led her to pursue formal training at the IAD.

Her first professional screen role was a significant one, as she was cast by director Bouli Lanners in the 2004 film Ultranova while still in her final year of secondary school. The role of Jeanne was reportedly written specifically for her after her audition. This experience solidified her decision to pursue a career in acting.

As a voice actress, Du Bled has built a substantial portfolio, lending her voice to a wide array of characters in anime and animated series. Among her most recognized roles is Suika in the popular anime series Dr. Stone, a part she has voiced across multiple installments including Dr. Stone: Stone Wars, Dr. Stone: Ryusui, and Dr. Stone: New World. She is also the voice of Filo in The Rising of the Shield Hero and its second season. Her other notable anime credits include Ilulu in Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid S, Raika in I've Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years and Maxed Out My Level, Lamilis in That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, Iris in The Strongest Sage With the Weakest Crest, Alicia in The Detective Is Already Dead, Marin in Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai, and Reine Boadicée in Radiant. In the world of anime films, she voiced Mew in Mewtwo Strikes Back Evolution and Macy Baljure in Burn The Witch.

Her voice work also extends to other animated franchises. She has voiced characters in the Pokémon franchise, including Margie in the Pokémon the Series: Sun & Moon and Pénélope in Pokémon the Series: XY, as well as Meriem in the film Pokémon the Movie: Hoopa and the Clash of Legends. Other roles include Penny Ling in Littlest Pet Shop, Gou Matsuoka in Free!, Astolfo in Fate/Apocrypha, and Babs Buttman in Pinky Malinky. Beyond animation, her dubbing work includes live-action productions such as Bella and the Bulldogs and Léna, rêve d'étoile.

In addition to her on-screen and voice work for series and films, Marie Du Bled has also found success as a narrator for audiobooks. In 2021, she was awarded the Prix Audiolib for her reading of the novel Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens. Her career reflects a consistent commitment to a wide range of roles, driven by an early desire to avoid being typecast and to explore the many facets of her craft.
