Description
Asahi Amagami is one of the three main heroines of the story and the youngest of the Amagami sisters. She is a 15-year-old third-year middle school student who stands 149 centimeters tall, with short, pale blue hair styled in a bob cut and blue eyes. Her birthday is April 8th.

Born as Miyuki Kiyomizu, Asahi is not the biological child of the Amagami family. Her biological father, Kinji Kiyomizu, is an international journalist, and her biological mother, Aoi Kiyomizu, is a sports shoe designer who frequently traveled overseas for work. As a child, Asahi was neglected by both parents; her mother showed little interest in raising her, and her father was often absent. One night, after her father left her at a kindergarten with a promise to return quickly, Asahi overheard that he would not be coming to get her. Wanting to make her parents worry so they would come looking for her, she hid alone in a warehouse until dawn. However, it was Chiharu Amagami who found her, holding a note from her father stating that he was going abroad with his wife and giving Asahi up for adoption. Following this traumatic event, which caused her to develop severe claustrophobia, Asahi was taken in and adopted by the Amagami family.

Despite being the youngest, Asahi often acts precocious and mature for her age and strongly dislikes being treated like a child. She has a playful and mischievous personality, enjoying teasing others, particularly her sisters and the protagonist Uryu Kamihate. She is known for her direct, sometimes sarcastic, way of speaking but is generally friendly, affectionate, and enjoys being doted on. While she claims to be the most level-headed and elegant of the three sisters, she can also be quite competitive and has insecurities, particularly about her small stature and lack of a more developed figure compared to her older sisters.

Asahi is an exceptionally talented athlete, with a special focus on long-distance running. She is a prominent member of her school's track and field club and has won regional competitions in Kyoto, earning her the nickname the Twilight Princess in the athletics world. Her dream is to become an Olympic athlete, and she hopes to use the fame to direct more visitors to the Amagami Shrine. She is a determined individual who puts her all into everything she does, from her studies to her training, and has even taught herself things she is not good at, such as how to ride a bike or type.

Asahi lives at the Amagami Shrine with her two adoptive older sisters, Yae and Yuna, with whom she shares a close, if sometimes teasing, bond. She develops a very special relationship with Uryu Kamihate, a medical school hopeful who comes to live at the shrine with the expectation that he must marry one of the sisters to inherit it. Asahi initially considers him a reliable older brother figure, but over time, her feelings grow into romantic affection. As part of her character development, she faces a major internal conflict about balancing her love for her family and her duties as a shrine maiden with her personal ambitions as an athlete. She ultimately learns the importance of making her own decisions and being her own person. In a bold move, she eventually confesses her love to Uryu with a kiss, resolving to continue competing for his affection despite believing she may not be his final choice.
